Secret Dragon Battle in Skyrim

November 26, 2011 Leave a comment

To those who wondering if you can find anymore unique dragons in Skyrim other than the ones you’ve already beaten during the main story quests then you are in some luck, there is one special dragon in the most unusual place in the game, underground!

You heard right, normally, you would fight dragons in the outside world where there is of course loads of room but to fight a dragon indoors or underground seems strange since there is barely any room to fly or move well but you’d be surprised where you can find this one, it’s in the big Dwemer city called Blackreach.

You can get there via almost all Dwemer ruins/towers and the place is massive and you could probably get lost due to all the stairs, areas and buildings to get through but there are a few lifts to take you to the surface but anyway, about this dragon….

You need to go to a specific location in Blackreach in order to get it’s attention, you must go to this small fortress looking place that has this massive light ornament hanging above it (Picture below)

You need to hit it with Unrelenting Force, it’s best to hold for the three word version as you will need quite some reach to hit it but if you managed to hit it with the Shout, you should hear a gong noise and several seconds later you should start to hear the dragon coming.

This special dragon is called Vulthuryol, he is about as strong as a Elder Dragon so if you are about level 30 or higher, you shouldn’t have any serious trouble with it but if you want to play it safe against this dragon, stay out of sight for a bit and it should go after the Falmer or their servants thats left alive in the area.

The dragon, like any other, should have a couple of dragon bones and scales on it along with random amounts of gold and some other random goodies, it still amazes me how this dragon managed to get to Blackreach but we will probably never find out….

Good luck slaying this special dragon!

August 25, 2010 Leave a comment

BioWare, creators of Mass Effect and Dragon Age, have announced yet another downloadable content for Dragon Age.

This dlc is called Witch Hunt and if you can take a guess, this is all about finding Morrigan after the events of Origins once the Blight has ended.

You are able to import your character from Origins or Awakening or create a new one and there are even more rewards to unlock and use in both story modes.

The release date for Witch Hunt is the 7th September for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC

Dragon Age DLC – Leliana’s Song

June 16, 2010 Leave a comment

The next DLC for Dragon Age has been announced, it will be called Leliana’s Song, as the name suggest, you play as one of the main party of Origins, the Rogue/Bard, Leliana.

This dlc is about her past before meeting the Grey Warden in Origins, if you talked to her often and got close to her, she will talk about her past as a Rogue in the service of Marjolaine.

By the sounds of it, you end up trying to escape the company she is involved with, I’m quite intrigued by this, BioWare knows how the keep the fans interested.

The DLC will be available from July 6th on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3, look out for it!

Dragon Age Anime Announced!

June 7, 2010 Leave a comment

You heard right, BioWare have done it again, first Mass Effect Movie made by Legendary Pictures now Dragon Age is getting a feature-length anime film and who is making this you say….. FUNimation!

Yep, the guys behind the Dragonball series has made a deal with BioWare to produce a anime feature film on the award-winning game, Dragon Age.

“Anime is a great medium for us to continue the robust Dragon Agestory,” said Mark Darrah, Executive Producer for the Dragon Age franchise. “Partnering with FUNimation ensures that we are delivering the exceptional quality and entertainment value that our Dragon Age fans expect.”

“We are thrilled to be working with EA and BioWare on the production of the Dragon Age anime feature,” said Gen Fukunaga, President and CEO of FUNimation. “We are going to be bringing the classic visual and storytelling techniques found in anime to create a film that will extend the narrative of the world BioWare has created.”

This really shows that BioWare is hitting the BIG time and starting to get the attention of major movie/anime companies, BioWare is shocking us more and more every month.

A date for the anime being released is TBA since the deal was only made yesterday but we should hopefully hear of some major news on it later on in the year!
