WWE PPV

Hell In A Cell 2012

Sunday 28th October

Results

———————————————-

The pre-show was mainly about John Cena on about the AJ scandal but then gets attacked by Dolph Ziggler and knocks him out of the ring, so naught really of interest….

Match 1 – Randy Orton vs Alberto Del Rio

Winner – Randy Orton

Match 2 – Daniel Bryan & Kane vs Rhodes Scholars (WWE Tag Titles)

Winners – Rhodes Scholars via DQ so Team Hell No retain the titles

Match 3 – Kofi Kingston vs The Miz (Intercontinental Title)

Winner – Kofi Kingston

Match 4 – Antonio Cesaro vs Justin Gabriel (US  Title)

Winner – Antonio Cesaro

Match 5 – Rey Mysterio & Sin Cara vs Prime Time Players

Winners – Team Rey

Match 6 – Sheamus vs Big Show (World Heavyweight Title)

Winner – Big Show

Match 7 – Eve vs Layla vs Kaitlyn (Triple Threat for Divas title)

Winner – Eve

Match 8 – CM Punk vs Ryback (Hell in a Cell match for WWE title)

Winner – CM Punk (after the referee got involved and low-blowed Ryback, allowing a cheap win)

———————————-

Overall – It was a decent PPV but the end of the Ryback/Punk match was utter BS, seriously, the match only lasted under 11 1/2 minutes, not exactly a proper main event or the ending to one, the best match in my view was Sheamus/Big Show match, that had good story behind it and was shocking to see Big Show win it but also that Dolph Ziggler never cashed in his MITB case.

I just hope WWE know what they are doing with Ryback come monday on RAW coz that match wasn’t good at all, the crowd in the PPV wasn’t much involved with the whole event so didn’t have the right atmosphere from start to finish

Match 8 – The Rock vs John Cena (Once In A Lifetime Match)

——————-

Overall – The first hour was just awful, seriously, the Sheamus/Bryan match lasted a mere 18 seconds, I wouldn’t call that a title match by a long shot and most Diva matches bore me anyway. The best matches of the night and what made this Wrestlemania special was the Jericho/Punk, Undertaker/HHH and Rock/Cena matches, they were fantastic and lived up to their hype!

With the Undertaker 20-0, he has reached another milestone in WWE history, it’s just a question of will he retire his streak or carry on…. In terms of the Rock and Cena match, the outcome was quite surprising with The Rock beating John Cena in a actual clean fight, I wonder what will happen on RAW the following day….

Overall: It’s was alright, a Hell In A Cell PPV without loads of violence and blood isn’t a true HIAC PPV but nevertheless this wasn’t a bad PPV, I’m a little fed up with out many times the WWE Title is constantly switching hands. I’m glad Henry still has his title, if the WWE know whats best, they should keep Henry as a title owner for sometime to get his dominance in the full

Next PPV: Vengeance
