——————————————–
Overall – I was telling a friend the other day that I fear for this Wrestlemania being like the 25th anniversary PPV where there are high calibur matches but all were weak in the actual match, this turns out to almost be just like it and like the 25th WM, it was the Undertaker’s Streak match that saved the day
I suspect that the second Rock/Cena match wouldn’t be as alluring as last year’s WM as everyone thought it was just going to be the “Once In A Lifetime”, oh how the WWE love to play with us, not to mention I hear that Rock might get involved in the build up to Wrestlemania 30
I really think that the Undertaker’s Streak has gone on for long enough, Taker should have retired it at 20-0 but I hear that Taker was in need of some funding so they gave him this match as a jackpot for him, I watched on TV not long ago that Taker was coming to the UK on the WM Revenge Tour for the first time in 4 years, as nice is that was, he should really retire his career if he is to not do himself too much damage as he is getting quite old now

Match 4b – CM Punk vs The Rock (WWE Title)
Winner – The Rock
——————————
Overall – A pretty predictable result for this PPV but nevertheless, I enjoyed it, had it’s moments in all of the matches although the tag team title match was pretty much just a filler to prepare for the main event that is the Royal Rumble match
I wouldn’t have minded who won the Royal Rumble but in the back of my head, I just knew that John Cena would win it, he himself said that 2013 will be the year of Cena, thus the WWE make him the superhuman to make him dominate, plenty of surprises during the match too including Kofi Kingston once again defying the usual laws of the RR match by avoiding to touch the floor with excellent athleticism
The Rock/Punk match was predictable for me, I knew Rock would win it, otherwise there would be no point for him to go full time until Wrestlemania, so this title win for him will give me something to go back and give a reason to go full time till Mania….
Next stop – Elimination Chamber

Winner – Team Del Rio
Match 8 – John Cena vs Dolph Ziggler (Ladder match for the Smackdown MITB case)
Winner – Dolph Ziggler (Thanks to A.J Lee interfering in the match)
——————————
Overall – Most of the matches were okay but the main event with Cena/Ziggler and the TLC match between The Shield and team Ryback were really something to watch, I did read up that there were a few injuries after the PPV ended, Cena has a cut under his eye and R-Truth had a badly grazed knee
There were no title changes in this PPV which did surprise me but none more so than Alberto Del Rio, the man is going full babyface which I thought I’d never see the day since he is such a excellent Heel, I just hope WWE know what they are doing with Del Rio….

Match 6 – CM Punk vs John Cena vs Ryback (Triple Threat for WWE Title)
Winner – CM Punk
————————————
Overall – That was a good PPV, not a strong one but a enjoyable nevertheless, this might be a build up to another NXT like invasion of the WWE after 3 members of the show invaded the PPV and took out Ryback allowing Punk to pin Cena to keep the belt, a bit odd but I’m sure WWE will carry this over with a backstory…. Hopefully a good one at that…. I just hope it doesn’t turn out to be another Nexus, as much as I liked the whole plot of it, it didn’t end well or on a high note
Other than that, the PPV was almost a complete Heel victory which makes a change, and a refreshing one at that, lets hope WWE keeps that momentum going…. Probably not but heck, a man can dream right?

Winner – James Storm with AJ Styles unable to gain another title shot for a year
Match 7 – Kurt Angle vs Devon
Winner – Kurt Angle
Match 8 – Jeff Hardy vs Austin Aries (Ladder match for TNA title)
Winner – Jeff Hardy
————————————–
Overall – This TNA PPV was one of those rare ones that was strong throughout the entire night, some matches were just there for fillers but the main matches such as the title matches and big named matches really paid off, there wasn’t alot wrong with this PPV, the Jeff/Aries ladder did have some nasty moments coz of the match being such a risk, I’ve seen plenty of ladder matches and some of them can be seriously painful to watch
One thing in mind about Jeff Hardy is that his contract with TNA expires in January and things are uncertain about if he will continue to work for TNA or not, but at this rate, I think he is staying with the company but that’s just my opinion, we will have to wait and see…..

The pre-show was mainly about John Cena on about the AJ scandal but then gets attacked by Dolph Ziggler and knocks him out of the ring, so naught really of interest….
Match 1 – Randy Orton vs Alberto Del Rio
Winner – Randy Orton
Match 2 – Daniel Bryan & Kane vs Rhodes Scholars (WWE Tag Titles)
Winners – Rhodes Scholars via DQ so Team Hell No retain the titles
Match 3 – Kofi Kingston vs The Miz (Intercontinental Title)

Match 4 – Antonio Cesaro vs Justin Gabriel (US Title)
Winner – Antonio Cesaro
Match 5 – Rey Mysterio & Sin Cara vs Prime Time Players

Match 6 – Sheamus vs Big Show (World Heavyweight Title)
Winner – Big Show
Match 7 – Eve vs Layla vs Kaitlyn (Triple Threat for Divas title)
Winner – Eve
Match 8 – CM Punk vs Ryback (Hell in a Cell match for WWE title)
Winner – CM Punk (after the referee got involved and low-blowed Ryback, allowing a cheap win)
———————————-
Overall – It was a decent PPV but the end of the Ryback/Punk match was utter BS, seriously, the match only lasted under 11 1/2 minutes, not exactly a proper main event or the ending to one, the best match in my view was Sheamus/Big Show match, that had good story behind it and was shocking to see Big Show win it but also that Dolph Ziggler never cashed in his MITB case.
I just hope WWE know what they are doing with Ryback come monday on RAW coz that match wasn’t good at all, the crowd in the PPV wasn’t much involved with the whole event so didn’t have the right atmosphere from start to finish

Match 6 – Miss Tessmacher vs Tara (Knockout Title)

Winner – Aces & Eights
Match 8 – Austin Aries vs Jeff Hardy (TNA World Title)
Winner – Jeff Hardy
————————————
Overall – This wasn’t a great Bound for Glory, it was good don’t get me wrong, had many ups and downs and the occasional surprise such as Matt Morgan’s return and the weird unmasking of Devon as part of Aces & Eights, certainly a head-scratcher and some of the title changes also didn’t mean much but TNA is known to work in weird ways, just have to wait and see how everything plays out, especially with Aces & Eights winning their match and gaining full access to the company….

Winner – Sheamus
Match 7 – CM Punk vs John Cena (WWE Title)
Winner – Draw (Both wrestlers had their shoulders on the mat during Cena’s german suplex bridge thus CM Punk remains champion)
——————————-
Overall – A good PPV, some shaky matches with most of them having slow starts but the Cena/Punk match was another display of great wrestling and story telling skill, the ending with a draw really did puzzle me but that does make Punk still to champion for another day
I don’t know if anyone else noticed but during the Orton/Ziggler match, you ever noticed that Randy Orton actually stuck up his middle fingers just before he goes to prepping the RKO, he did apologize on Twitter so he might just get a slap on the wrist

Overall – Not a bad PPV to be honest, some good matches with plenty of slow starts to them, it’s surprised me that Jeff Hardy won the Bound for Glory series, I was expecting Bully Ray or James Storm to win it but we will see how this plays out with the build up to Jeff Hardy vs Austin Aries at Bound For Glory PPV next month
In terms of the plot with Aces & Eights, I’m getting really bored of it, been going for ages and I just hope they are revealed at the BFG PPV coz this is starting to drag itself

Match 7 – Brock Lesnar vs Triple H (No DQ/Countout)
Winner – Brock Lesnar
———————————
Overall – This was a good SummerSlam, not fantastic but was very watchable, all matches had plenty of highs and lows so I can’t really say which match was the best, some results were surprising however in my opinion such as the HHH/Brock match, I thought that Brock was going to be one of these heels where he dominates during the shows but looses on PPVs so it will be interesting how this plays out….
