Dynasty Warriors 8 confirmed!

October 30, 2012 Leave a comment

A magazine  page scan from a popular japanese magazine, Jump Magazine, revealed today the confirmation of the next series of Koei’s famous video game, Dynasty Warriors…. With the reveal of the 8th series, Dynasty Warriors 8

Even though Dynasty Warriors 7 Empires has yet to be released Koei have apparently gone on ahead and announced the next series of Dynasty Warriors early to shock us all, even though we knew it was coming, the news this soon has taken me by surprise!

Now I can’t translate japanese unfortunately but a friend of mine did and what we have here is the popular Dynasty Warriors character, Zhao Yun from the kingdom of Shu and a brand new character coming to the 8th series, this character in blue has been translated to as Yue Jin, a warrior from the kingdom of Wei, pretty exciting stuff!

Dynasty Warriors 8 has been set for release in Japan for 2013, although nothing as of yet for a overseas release but it is VERY early to tell anything yet, watch this space!

EDIT:: A second character has been announced in more magazine scans!

This guy is Li Dian from the kingdom of Wei, with him and Yue Jin, if anyone remembers the battle of He Fei, these will make that level much more epic!

Assassin’s Creed III release date already confirmed!

February 15, 2012 Leave a comment

I was just looking through some gaming websites, just for some usual intel and I found this interesting piece of evidence for the upcoming UbiSoft game, Assassin’s Creed III.

I found this information just today on the vg247′s website and it says about the release date of the game and the scenario for a possible story plot, below is what is said on the website:

“Ubisoft has announced Assassin’s Creed III will be released on October 30.

The date was given in a financial call to investors today. Details regarding the game are minute at this point, but it will star a new protagonist. Various locations have been rumored over recent months, with Egypt, China, and America during the Revolutionary period the running favorites. The French Revolution has also been mentioned.”

The information on the game’s release (Alongside Far Cry 3) is actually supposed to be released tomorrow in Europe but this was leaked sooner than Ubisoft expected.

So far from what I’ve read up, Assassin’s Creed III is set for release on PC, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U and possibly PS Vita, so everyone will get a chance to play this, I’m very curious on what it will actually be about….

Watch my SCV creations in action “Soul Calibur V – Ichigo Kurosaki Vs Hollow Ichigo” on YouTube

February 11, 2012 Leave a comment

I’m quite proud of these actually, tried to make them as accurate as possible!

I just love game with a create-a-character function, it really makes one’s imagination fly and get some inspiration going in your mind, this on in Soul Calibur V, one night I decided to make some cameo characters and what came to mind I thought I’d never actually try to make in a game

It all started off with just the base model of a male character and one thing let to another, I ended up with making Ichigo Kurosaki from the anime, Bleach, after making him, I then decided to edit him and add the broken Hollow mask on and changed his eye colour to that of the Hollow and I was very pleased with what I made!

Later I copied him to another empty slot and decided to make the Hollow Ichigo and that was pretty simple enough and changed his weapon style which worked out well, below will be the very first time I put these two together in SCV and fought against each other, pretty good action in this video! A few of my friends have been after this album for a bit since I bet many were disappointed that the fact the Collector’s Edition of Soul Calibur V came with only a small soundtrack, not this deluxe edition which does scratch ones head but anyway….

Resident Evil 6 Confirmed!

January 19, 2012 Leave a comment

OH YEAH!!! Capcom officially announced that a Resident Evil 6 has emerged and boy could any Resi fan get anymore excited!?!?

A recent trailer to the game was released not too long ago and it shows the return of former S.T.A.R.S member, Chris Redfield and rookie cop turned special agent, Leon S Kennedy, in what looks like the game is going back to it’s “Old Roots”, with that I think they mean going back to the classic zombie apocalypse virus outbreak rather that stick to that story of the Las Plagas that not many of us actually liked.

From what the story in the trailer is trying to tell us is something to do with the President of the United States announcing that he is revealing the truth about the virus outbreak as it starts infecting the entire country and it’s upto Leon and Chris to save the world once again, although this time, there is a third party trying to stop this outbreak, however the details on this is no very clear, I’m sure all will be revealed when the game gets closer to release!

And the release date you say….. the 20th November 2012 so you don’t have to wait until next year for this as it’s closer than I thought.

Although from previous games, some fans aren’t happy with the series, some coz of how Resi 5 was and that it was supposed to become the final game in the saga but rest assure that this game looks AWESOME! Check below for the official trailer to the game

Fallout New Vegas: Lonesome Road Trailer + Screenshots

September 15, 2011 Leave a comment

Bethesda recently released the official trailer to the upcoming DLC for Fallout New Vegas, Lonesome Road.

The story behind Lonesome Road brings the Courier’s story full circle when you are contacted by the original “courier six”, a man by the name of Ulysses who refused to deliver the Platinum chip at the start of the main storyline in Fallout: New Vegas. In his transmission, Ulysses promises the answer as to why, but only if you take one last job – a job that leads you into the depths of the hurricane-swept canyons of the Divide, a landscape torn apart by frequent earthquakes and violent storms. This is the fabled location of the battle between the Courier and Ulysses. The road to the Divide is a long and treacherous one, and of the few to ever walk the road, none have ever returned.

The trailer to Lonesome Road can be viewed below:

Some screenshots of the DLC for New Vegas can be shown below, click the thumbnails for a large showing of each picture

Timesplitters 4 still possible?

July 31, 2011 Leave a comment

People thought it would’ve been the end for the popular shoot m up series, Timesplitters after the company, Free Radical Design, went bust a couple of years ago, not long after they announced Timesplitters 4. Since then, the 4th installation of the popular series went dark and the rumours began spreading about it.

Now, it’s been known that Free Radical Design has become Crytek UK and was one of the companies behind the superb Crysis 2 game and now it’s been announced that the new Crytek UK has said that the fourth Timesplitters game isn’t dead yet, during this years E3 but not actually at the event, Crytek have said that this game will be announced soon.

A recent article from the guys at shoptonews.net said that in the recent article from the recent issue of Official PlayStation Magazine showed a picture of the confirmed TS4 game said only this -

‘Gun-wielding monkeys are finally making a comeback! A fourth Timesplitters title is to be announced soon’

This will give hope to those Timesplitter fans that the once was Free Radical Design’s one of a kind shooter is returning and under the new company Crytek, could this mean the new TS game might have Crysis 2 style graphics?

If so, I’m so up for that!!!

Fallout New Vegas: Old World Blues – How to kill the Legendary Bloatfly!

July 25, 2011 4 comments

Now, this caught me unaware when I first came upon it’s presence during my exploration of the Old World Blues DLC for Fallout New Vegas and boy was I in for a fight! Against probably the most dangerous boss in Fallout New Vegas, the one of a kind, Legendary Bloatfly!

First of all, you need to find it, the legendary bloatfly lies in the heart of the “Mysterious Cave” in the upper north east of the Old World Blues map, should literally be walking distance from the “Big MT North Tunnel” but incase you still can’t find it, I took a few photos of the event, below you will see the location of the “Mysterious Cave” where the bloatfly lives

Now, once your in there, your in bloatfly territory, sure, the normal ones are weak as heck, one bullet should take care of em, now, make sure you go up rather than down, for the best vantage point and soon you will come across a ledge but don’t approach it! Stay away from there or you will be in the cross-fire of the Legendary Bloatfly and believe me, it’s attacks HURT, even on Very Easy mode, it could kill you in just a few hits!

As you can see, the Legendary Bloatfly is couple of times bigger than an ordinary bloatfly and it glowing brightly so you can’t miss it, attacking it head-on is just plain suicide and it’s heavily armoured and high HP so it’s best to attack it from a distance.

Now, my theory to take it down was simple, I used the “Christine’s COS Silencer Rifle” along with one dose of Psycho, Slasher and one Stealth Boy, crouched and took loads of pot shots at the Legendary Bloatfly, if you maintain your distance, it won’t detect you allowing you to hit it freely but try to be quick as the drugs and stealth boy don’t last very long. Also use the VATS as often as possible too for good shots and high chance of critical strikes, after about several lots of sniper rifle magazines used on it, the Legendary Bloatfly should either be dead or near it so you can finish if off if it hasn’t.

The loot varies but one thing is for certain, you will get a crap load of bloatfly meat and lots of buffout and psycho which should be plenty for ya, the drain microfusion cells is probably why the Legendary Bloatfly was glowing, might have been an experiment I don’t know but it sure seems that way.

It is one of a kind type of monster, you won’t be able to find it again…. Oh and make sure you SAVE before you encounter the Legendary Bloatfly and after you have killed it coz believe me, you don’t want to face that again. It makes the Cazadors and Deathclaws seem puny in comparison!

Anyway, I hope my post helps you defeat this monstrosity!

Fallout New Vegas DLCs Full Information

Yesterday, Fallout Wikia submitted a big detailed information on ALL THREE of the major DLCs for Fallout: New Vegas, to those who don’t know what they are, they are Honest Hearts, Old World Blues  and  Lonesome Road. On this submitted post, BETHESDA SOFTWORKS describes all three dlcs, what they are about, what we are expecting and when are their release dates, yes, you heard me right, RELEASE DATES!!!

Full detailed report from Bethesda (Thanks to Fallout Wikia for this)

“Three Additional Add-on Packs Releasing in Coming Months
for Xbox 360, PlayStation®3 system and Windows PCs

May 3, 2011 (Rockville, MD) – Bethesda Softworks®, a ZeniMax® Media company, today announced three downloadable content packs will be released in the coming months for Fallout®: New Vegas™. The three packs will be released simultaneously for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system, and Windows-based PCs.

Honest Hearts™, Old World Blues™ and Lonesome Road™ will further expand upon Fallout: New Vegas. Fallout: New Vegas takes all the action, humor and post-apocalyptic grime and grit of this legendary series, and raises the stakes.

Available on May 17, Honest Hearts takes you on an expedition to the unspoiled wilderness of Utah’s Zion National Park. Things go horribly wrong when your caravan is ambushed by a tribal raiding band. As you try to find a way back to the Mojave, you become embroiled in a war between tribes and a conflict between a New Canaanite missionary and the mysterious Burned Man. The decisions you make will determine the fate of Zion.

In Old World Blues, releasing in June, you will discover how some of the Mojave’s mutated monsters came to be when you unwittingly become a lab rat in a science experiment gone awry. You’ll need to scour the Pre-War research centers of the Big Empty in search of technology to turn the tables on your kidnappers or join forces with them against an even greater threat.

Lonesome Road, available in July, brings the courier’s story full circle when you are contacted by the original Courier Six, a man by the name of Ulysses who refused to deliver the Platinum Chip at the start of New Vegas. In his transmission, Ulysses promises the answer as to why, but only if you take one last job –a job that leads you into the depths of the hurricane-swept canyons of the Divide, a landscape torn apart by earthquakes and violent storms. The road to the Divide is a long and treacherous one, and of the few to ever walk the road, none have ever returned.Reviews of Fallout: New Vegas have called the game as “an utterly essential purchase” (MSN UK) and as “addictively, rambunctiously fun” (Entertainment Weekly). The Associated Press awarded it a 4 out of 4 stars and said “Bottom Line: It’s a Blast”, while GameSpy gave it 4.5 out of 5 stars and called Fallout: New Vegas “one of the best games of the year.”

All downloadable content for Fallout: New Vegas will be available for download on Xbox LIVE® for 800 Microsoft Points, the PlayStation®Network for $9.99, and both Steam and Direct2Drive for $9.99.”

As a big Fallout fan, I’m so looking forward to these DLCs aswell as any minor ones they may be releasing for New Vegas, unlike Dead Money, all of these DLCs will be released on Xbox 360, PC and PS3 simultaneously so no Xbox 360 exclusive “Before anyone else” thing, all Fallout players will get a fair share of the release date.

—————————–

Additional information that Bethesda on what the DLCs also bring to the player (Again, thanks to Fallout Wikia for this)

Bethesda’s Matt Grandstaff has posted info on level cap in the upcoming Fallout: New Vegas add-ons in the Bethesda Forum.

“Each DLC will raise the level cap by 5. So including Dead Money, if you’ve got them all, you’ll have a cap of 50″

He also addressed concerns that the level cap increase might make the game too easy:

“And for you, I have good news. If you’re concerned that the new level cap increases will make the game too easy for you, I’ve got a couple things to note:

1) Congratulations on being hardcore

2) Old World Blues will offer a new trait (and respec your traits if you’ve already chosen them) that will allow you to cap your level at 30 (or current level if you’re already over 30).”

Asked whether players will be able to continue playing after the main quest is finished, he again confirmed that the game will still end with the Second Battle of Hoover Dam:

“Unrelated, wanted to note that none of the upcoming DLCs will allow you to play beyond the main quest (for the same reasons noted by the developers prior to the game’s release).”
